Kintsugi Opal & Mother of Pearl 38mm Automatic Watch - 1 of 1
This is a 1 of 1 commission for a Customized Midnight Kintsugi dial. The dial has been textured with the seigaiha wave pattern, and the Kintsugi cracks have been plated with 18K gold. Two portions of the dial have been removed through extensive hand filing; the bigger section on the 9 O’clock side exposes the beautiful Skeletal movement underneath, revealing the oscillating spring and pallet forks. Two round black opals have been secured onto the movement at the 8 & 9 O’clock positions, giving off a beautiful show of colors at different angles of light. The removed section on the right reveals a slice of Black Japanese Mother of Pearl that give a beautiful depth and color to the dial.
