1867 Für Elise Automatic Watch - Limited 10

A true labor of love. Over a year in the making from conception, to design, and finally into reality. The meticulous execution of the dial was paramount, I wanted to pay homage to one of the driving forces of our lives, Music. Nothing is more universal in the world of music than Für Elise played on the piano, evoking emotions, memories, and thoughts. In terms of watchmaking, the design is subtly inspired by F. P. Journe watches, apparent in the rotated numbers of the hour markers. Paying homage to the legendry watch brand, I placed in white print a French saying "L'expression de l'inexprimable" meaning the Expression of the inexpressible. The central portion of the dial was made in the shape and texture of a vintage vinyl record, which works perfectly with the stylus design seconds hand. The clef on the dial has the central portion open to reveal the ticking heart of the watch. The notes on the dial are not haphazard, they are actually the first five notes of Für Elise! There is also an embossed "Für Elise" in the lower center of the dial and a "1867" between the 11 and 12 O'clock. The seconds track around the periphery was designed to imitate piano keys.
